# Truth or dare generator

Pick truth or dare, or let the raccoon choose. Every dare is safe, kind and doable in the living room, and nobody has to do anything that makes them uncomfortable.

## How to play

Add everyone's name to the scoreboard. The player who is up picks **Truth**, **Dare** or **Surprise me**, reads the card out and answers or does it. Press **Done!** to score it (a truth is worth one point, a dare two) and pass the turn on, or **Pass** to move on without points. Turn scoring off if you would rather just play.

Truths and dares are drawn from separate decks, and neither repeats until you have seen all of it.

## Safe, kind and fair

Every dare was written to be done indoors in a minute or two, at no cost, without food or drink challenges, phones being posted, strangers or anything risky. Many of them make someone else feel good: a compliment, a thank-you, a song about the person on your left. Truths ask about funny moments, favourite things and small confessions, never anything private.

Two house rules keep the game fun. Anyone can pass on any card, no questions asked, and nobody pressures them. And impressions are always kind: the person being copied should be laughing too. *Family & kids* keeps to cards for everyone; *teens & adults* adds questions about work, phones and friendships.

## Questions

**Is this truth or dare suitable for kids?**

Yes. In family and kids mode every truth and dare is written for all ages, and even the teens and adults set has nothing sexual, no alcohol and nothing dangerous or humiliating.

**How many players do you need?**

Two or more; it works best with three to eight. Add up to ten names on the scoreboard and turns go round in order.

**What does the dare timer do?**

Several dares last a set time, such as speaking in rhyme or holding a plank for twenty seconds. Press P or the play button to time them, with an optional buzzer.
